Overlooking the historic Dubai Creek, Dubai Festival City is currently undergoing a 1.5 billion AED transformation, to further contextualize it with its waterfront surroundings. Nowhere does this transformation stop short, work on the regional mall includes adding an additional 330,000 square feet of retail space and over 300 inline stores (of which, will be 90 new fashion and bridge retailers), a new 3 level 220,000 square foot Department Store, 9 anchors, 60 LSU/MSU & Flagship stores, waterfront restaurants, family entertainment centre and an upgraded 22 screen Cinema surrounded by a newly enhanced food court. Collectively these improvements forecast the existing centre footfall of 21 million to reach 30+ million post redevelopment.

Part of the redevelopment plans and capitalizing on some of the best vistas in Dubai along the waterfront, an agreement is in place with world-renowned Laservision Mega Media, to produce a unique megamedia spectacular in the former marina. Another first rate addition to the already increased GLA of 330,000 square feet that will diversify the mall with more first rate tenants and F&B outlets.

These exciting developments follow Dubai Festival City’s already noteworthy track record of success and recognition. From being named Best Retail Development in its first year of operation, Best Retail Destination of the Year 2010, Five Star - Arabian Property Awards 2010, Best in Dubai 2010, Silver Maxi 2009 ICSC Awards, International Shopping Centre of the Year Award RLI 2008 and Retail Destination of the Year at the Middle East Awards 2008.
